# Connect your agent to Pollen

Pollen makes a draft launch page as standalone HTML. Connect with Streamable HTTP to https://pollensites.com/mcp. No account or API key is needed.

## Client setup

Add the server in your client's remote MCP settings. For clients that take JSON configuration:

## Make a draft

1. Initialize the MCP session and call tools/list. The returned schemas govern the calls.
2. Call start_draft with public business copy:

3. start_draft saves the draft as a guest draft and returns its id. Call check_draft once with that id. It returns a filename and the standalone HTML right away; there is nothing to wait for.
4. Give the person the HTML to save and open. Nothing is published; going live needs a separate review.

## What agents can read

The HTML includes semantic sections, a page title, a description and JSON-LD with WebPage and Organization facts from the draft. The builder also includes a valid contact email when the person provides one. These facts help software read the page; they do not guarantee discovery, search rankings or citations.

Connecting to Pollen lets your agent make a draft. The exported site does not include its own MCP server or llms.txt file. Hosting and automatic publishing are separate from the HTML export.

## Limits

- Name: 1–120 characters. Brief: 1–2000. Headline: up to 160. Style: editorial (Portfolio), studio (SaaS) or bold (Consumer).
- Use public business copy only, never secrets or contact details. Anyone holding a draft's id can read it.
- Each caller can start up to 60 drafts at once, refilling at one a second.
- Each layout includes its own artwork. The builder does not generate custom imagery or Pollen’s particle animation.
- No account access, publishing, payments or messages. No price is offered.
